On February 3, the Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya intercepted an attempt to smuggle over 50,000 kilograms of sugar across the Indo-Bangladesh border. The operation, conducted in collaboration with Meghalaya Police in the Maheshkhola bordering area, resulted in the seizure of the sugar intended for smuggling into Bangladesh. The confiscated sugar was handed over to the respective authorities.
