The Beatles' 1966 painting "Images of a Woman," created during their Tokyo stay, sold for over $1.7 million at Christie's auction.

A painting created by all four members of The Beatles has sold at auction for over $1.7 million. Completed in 1966, the untitled piece, known as Images of a Woman, was created during their stay at Tokyo's Hilton Hotel during their five-night stand at Nippon Budokan. Each Beatle painted one corner of the canvas, working towards the center. The auction took place at Christie's and the artwork was described as "the only known substantial piece of art made by the four Beatles in their years together."
