Veolia North America, a second contractor, has agreed to a $25 million settlement in relation to its role in the Flint, Michigan lead-contaminated water crisis. The settlement aims to resolve claims made on behalf of over 45,000 Flint residents and includes payments of $1,500 for individual minors. Veolia North America had faced a trial this month in federal court, but that has been suspended pending final approval of its settlement agreement.
