Dog park upgrades start this week.

The city of Penticton is starting upgrades to six dog parks this week. The upgrades, which carry a $200,000 cost, were approved last year by the city council in response to requests from local dog owners. The improvements vary by park and include new engineered wood fiber surfacing, accessible pathways, shade structures, new trees, dog activity areas, potable water, and self-closing gates.
