First Nations leaders in northern Manitoba have proposed an all-season, 252-kilometer road connecting St. Theresa Point Ansininew Nation to Berens River First Nation. The new road, estimated to cost $600 million and take five years to build, would be funded through a social impact bond and could save government money by reducing medical transportation costs and improving access to essential goods and services.
