Carolina Hurricanes goaltender, Frederik Andersen, has been cleared to resume on-ice activities following his battle with deep-vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolisms. He has not played since November 2 and will now begin limited on-ice conditioning, with updates on his return to game action expected. The Hurricanes are currently in second place in the Metropolitan Division, just two points behind the New York Rangers.
