Amadeus, a Spanish travel tech company, has announced its intention to buy biometric firm Vision-Box for an undisclosed sum. This acquisition aims to strengthen Amadeus' border-control technology business. Vision-Box's face biometrics hardware and software will enable Amadeus to perform "end-to-end seamless" identity services from travel booking to border control and boarding. The deal is expected to be completed before July, and will see Amadeus absorb Vision-Box's approximately 470 employees.
