Faith Aids Coping in Pandemic, Cambridge Study Suggests.

A new study by the University of Cambridge has found that individuals of religious faith may have experienced lower levels of unhappiness and stress than non-religious people during the COVID-19 lockdowns in 2020 and 2021. The research suggests that religion may act as a source of resilience and support during times of crisis, such as a global public health emergency. The study found that while lockdowns were associated with an increase in feelings of unhappiness, the average increase was 29% lower for those who identified as religious.
