Schneider Electric's Sustainability Business division suffered a ransomware attack.
Energy management and automation company Schneider Electric has reported a ransomware attack on its Sustainability Business division. The incident, which occurred on January 17, 2024, has disrupted some of Schneider Electric's Resource Advisor cloud platform and led to the theft of corporate data. The Cactus ransomware group is believed to be behind the attack, which has led to the accessing of data in the company's Sustainability Business division. Schneider Electric has informed impacted customers and is working to contain the attack and strengthen security measures.
