Malaysian Grand Prix revival planned by Petronas in 2026 after absenting since 2017.

Malaysia's state oil company, Petronas, is looking to revive the Malaysian Grand Prix on the Formula One calendar in 2026. The company previously held naming rights to the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) and is said to be discussing bringing back the event first revealed during a company town hall meeting. The last F1 race in Malaysia took place in 2017 due to declining ticket sales and rising costs; however, the global popularity of the sport has since increased.
