Four teens charged in deliberate arson fire at Eabametoong First Nation school.
Four teenagers, aged between 13 and 17, have been charged in relation to a deliberate arson fire at the John C. Yesno Education Centre in Eabametoong First Nation. The fire destroyed the only school in the community, catering to kindergarten to Grade 9 students. The four suspects face charges of arson with disregard for human life, arson causing damage to property, mischief over $5,000, and possession of incendiary material. The oldest suspect also faces charges of possession of break-in instruments and assaulting a peace officer.
