Families Minister Jenna Sudds confirms provinces/territories signed $10-a-day child care agreements with federal government.

Families Minister Jenna Sudds stated that provinces and territories signed $10-a-day child care agreements with the federal government with full awareness of the implications, and now it's their responsibility to make the program work. The federal Liberals allocated $30 billion over five years to implement this program, with a goal to create thousands of $10-a-day spaces by 2026. Each province and territory agreed to manage the program in exchange for federal funds. Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland asserts that this is a major investment and the federal government remains committed to making child care work.
