English National Opera's chorus and orchestra suspend strike amid pay, conditions dispute; interim settlement with Equity union.

Members of the English National Opera's (ENO) chorus and orchestra have suspended a planned strike over pay and conditions. The strike, which was due to take place on 1 February during the opening night of a new run of The Handmaid's Tale, was aimed at protesting job cuts. An interim settlement has been reached with the Equity union for the chorus, and negotiations will continue in the coming weeks.
