Vietnam's CPI rose 3.37% in Jan 2024, mainly due to higher education & healthcare costs, as per the GSO.

Vietnam's Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 3.37% in January 2024 compared to the previous year, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO). The CPI grew by 0.31% from December 2023, primarily due to price hikes in nine out of the 11 items in the calculation basket. The cost of education experienced an 8.39% increase, while medicine and healthcare services rose by 6.52%.
