Ukraine's security service (SBU) has accused defense company Lviv Arsenal and several officials of embezzling around $40 million, money that was meant for purchasing 100,000 mortar rounds. The Defense Ministry cooperated in the investigation, which implicated some of its current and former senior officials. The company received the contract and funds in summer 2022 but never sent any rounds to Ukraine, SBU said.
