Stanley Nwabali, the Super Eagles goalkeeper, sustained an injury during Nigeria’s 2-0 victory over Cameroon in the Round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations. Nwabali collided with Cameroon winger Georges Nkoudou, leaving him unable to complete the game. His replacement, Francis Uzoho, was not greatly tested by the opposing team. Nwabali's availability for Nigeria's match against Angola will be determined after a test on his injury. Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro, is hopeful he will be fit for the next match.
