Iran successfully launched three satellites.

On Sunday, Iran announced the successful simultaneous launch of three satellites into space. These satellites, launched by a two-stage Simorgh Phoenix satellite carrier, reached a minimum orbit of 450 kilometers, or 280 miles. The Mahda satellite, weighing around 32 kilograms, was developed by Iran's Space Agency and is designed to test advanced satellite subsystems. The other two satellites, Keyhan 2 and Hatef, each weigh under 10 kilograms and are intended to test space-based localization technology and narrowband communication, respectively. The launch comes less than a week after Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps sent a research satellite into space, drawing criticism from Western nations.
