Texas school officer Tina Eggleston, off-duty, seriously injured helping stranded motorists; hospitalized with brain injury, broken ribs.

A school police officer in Texas was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle. Tina Eggleston, from the Edgewood Independent School District, was directing traffic off-duty when she stopped at a gas station to help strangers who ran out of gas. She gave the strangers a ride back to their car, when she was hit by a vehicle. Eggleston is currently hospitalized, in sedation with broken ribs and a severe brain injury. Her family is with her as she recovers.
