South Africa's Border Management Authority (BMA) reported that over 5 million travelers passed through the country's borders during the festive season, a significant increase from the previous year. During this period, BMA officials intercepted 27,005 individuals attempting to enter the country illegally and deported 15,924 people without the correct documents. The agency also processed millions of vehicles and aircraft, collaborating with various government agencies to enforce immigration procedures and seize unauthorized goods.
