Former Nanaimo Indian Hospital lands returned to B.C. First Nation.

The Nanaimo Indian Hospital lands have been returned to the Snuneymuxw First Nation in British Columbia. This is a part of a historic interim land reconciliation agreement. The Camp Nanaimo Lands on Te'tuxwtun, comprising over 80 hectares, have been returned to Snuneymuxw through additions to the reserve process. The Snuneymuxw Chief and council have progressive development plans for these lands, which will benefit Snuneymuxw, the City of Nanaimo, and Vancouver Island University.
