PM Modi announces WHO-Ayush collaboration to standardize traditional medicine language for improved doctor-patient communication, and plans for a 100-bed yoga and naturopathy hospital in Dibrugarh.

The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, stated an initiative of the Ministry of Ayush and World Health Organization (WHO) to codify terminology related to traditional medicine systems such as Ayurveda, Unani, and Siddha. This codification will allow doctors to use a standardized language when writing prescriptions, leading to improved communication, understanding of a patient's medical condition, and treatment. Furthermore, it was announced that a 100-bed yoga and naturopathy hospital is to be built in Dibrugarh, northeast India, with an investment of around Rs 100 crore.
