London Mayor Sadiq Khan proposes a 3-month trial making all fares off-peak on Fridays to boost economy and help hospitality sector.

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has proposed a three-month trial to make all fares off-peak on Fridays, in an effort to increase passenger numbers and boost the economy. The trial would require the support of the wider rail industry, and if successful, could help raise revenue for the hospitality sector. Peak fares currently apply on weekdays between 6:30am and 9:30am, and between 4pm and 7pm, on TfL and mainline rail services within London.
