The U.S. Navy is now permitting individuals without a high school diploma or GED to enlist, marking the second time in roughly a year that it has opened its doors to lower-performing recruits, due to ongoing struggles to reach enlistment numbers. The new policy now allows Navy recruits without an education credential to join if they score 50 or above on the qualification test, out of 99.
