Minnesota State Capitol closed; suspicious jars with unknown liquid found, no threats found after first responder involvement.

A suspicious item found in a bathroom at the Minnesota State Capitol on Friday evening brought a large first responder presence to the location. The agency became aware of the suspicious item, mason jars filled with an unknown liquid, at 6:30 p.m. The St. Paul Fire Department was called as a precautionary measure. Firefighters found no active leaks or threats and gave the all clear, arranging for disposal of the contents. At the time, the Capitol building was closed and empty.
