Russian customs confiscated 1.2 metric tons of cocaine, worth $146.9M, in a St Petersburg coffee shipment from Belgium, marking the 2nd large smuggling attempt in a month.

Russian customs officials have confiscated over 1.2 metric tons of cocaine in St Petersburg, reportedly valued at over $146.9 million on the black market. The narcotic was discovered in a shipment of coffee which had arrived in the port city from Belgium. This marks the second criminal attempt to smuggle a large amount of cocaine into the country within the month.
