Power line fell on Highway 99 after vehicle collision, closing U.S. border crossing for 3 hours.

A power line in Surrey, British Columbia, fell across Highway 99, interrupting access to the U.S. Peace Arch Border Crossing for nearly three hours on Thursday. The incident occurred when a vehicle crashed into a power pole. The collision led to the closure of the highway in both directions at King George Boulevard and a power outage for around 2,700 BC Hydro customers in the area. The highway reopened in both directions early Thursday afternoon.
