Meta Platforms, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, announced plans to invest $800 million in a new data center campus in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The 700,000-square-foot facility is expected to create approximately 100 full-time jobs and support over 1,250 jobs during peak construction. The data center will be powered by 100% renewable energy and will play a role in powering Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp when it becomes operational in 2026.
