Wednesday at the White House, Biden and congressional leaders discuss the supplemental spending bill.
President Biden will meet with Congressional leaders, including Mike Johnson, Mitch McConnell, Hakeem Jeffries, and Chuck Schumer, to encourage the passage of a national security supplemental package. This package includes funding for Ukraine, Israel, and border security, among other things. Biden initially requested the supplemental package in October, but the Senate now has to prioritize averting a government shutdown. The upcoming meeting at the White House aims to discuss the national security supplemental package.
