Annelise Sanderson, an 18-year-old inmate, was found dead in her cell at an adult prison in Cheshire. The teenager had been sentenced to 52 weeks in custody in June 2020 after assaulting a paramedic. The prison had put a safety plan in place for Miss Sanderson as she was considered at risk of suicide or self-harm. Despite this, she was tragically found dead just weeks before her planned release. Miss Sanderson's mother claimed that her daughter had been "scared."
