Homes are engulfed by flowing volcanic lava into an Icelandic village.

A volcanic eruption in Iceland has caused lava to flow towards the fishing town of Grindavik, resulting in the evacuation of nearly all of its 4,000 residents. This is Iceland's fifth volcanic eruption in under three years. At least three houses have been engulfed in the lava flow, with the possibility of more cracks opening. The eruption has raised concerns among travelers, as Grindavik's proximity to Iceland's main international airport has led some to reconsider their plans.
