Further delays to coal-fired power plant restart.

The Callide C power plant in Queensland, which produces 30% of the state's overnight electricity, has faced further delays in its partial return to service for two of its four units. This is the second time the plant's operation has been pushed back. In November 2022, all four units were temporarily shut down due to accidents and equipment failures. The plant has a history of incidents, including an explosion in its turbine hall in May 2021 that left 470,000 homes and businesses without power.
