Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has called for stronger cooperative ties with France in order to combat terrorism and violent extremism within Nigeria. During a farewell meeting with the outgoing French Ambassador to Nigeria, Emmanuelle Blatmann, who has now been appointed as the Director for Africa in the French Foreign Ministry, Tinubu praised Blatmann's efforts in fostering improved relations between the two countries and urged her to advocate for an "upgrade of technical cooperation" between Nigeria and France.
