Luciana Berger returns to key role for Labour overseeing mental health strategy.

Former MP for Liverpool Wavertree, Luciana Berger, has been appointed by Sir Keir Starmer to oversee a cross-government strategy addressing mental health issues. Under the plan, mental health professionals will be specially trained to support individuals who self-harm and work toward reducing suicide rates. Berger's return to a key Labour role follows Sir Keir's assurance of continued vigilance against antisemitism in the party. Berger maintains that Labour has made significant progress under Sir Keir's leadership.
