Myanmar's junta has reached a temporary cease-fire agreement with rebels, potentially ending over two months of fighting. The deal was clinched with China's support after several rounds of talks. The Chinese Foreign Ministry confirmed the cease-fire after talks in Kunming. Both sides promised not to undermine the safety of Chinese people living in the border area and Chinese projects and personnel in Myanmar.
