B.C. man Alex Willness has been sentenced to five years in prison after being found guilty of manslaughter in the death of off-duty Abbotsford police officer Const. Allan Young. Willness received 405 days' credit for the time he spent in custody before being sentenced, leaving him to serve nearly four years in prison. The altercation that led to Young's death occurred in July 2020, and Willness was charged in connection with the incident in late 2020.
