Stratford sphere venue plans officially withdrawn by US firm.

Madison Square Garden Entertainment (MSG) has withdrawn plans for a Las Vegas-style "Sphere" venue in London, citing the process as "merely a political football between rival parties." The 21,000-capacity, 300ft-tall sphere in Stratford, east London, was rejected by London Mayor Sadiq Khan in November. The 4.7-acre site was left empty since it was last used as a temporary coach park during the 2012 London Olympics.
