Footage has emerged of the moment a suspected car thief tried to flee the scene of a crash by hailing an Uber.
A suspected car thief attempted to flee the scene of a crash he caused in suburban Melbourne by hailing an Uber. Witnesses reported seeing a fast moving car crash into another at a major intersection in Clayton before the driver fled. It is reported that a man was seen running along Blackburn Road moments later, before an Uber was seen leaving a nearby hotel. The passenger in the back of the Uber then got out and tried to flee as police stopped the vehicle.
