A family of a British tourist killed in a 2018 Grand Canyon helicopter crash was awarded a $100 million settlement.

A Nevada judge has approved a $100 million cash settlement for the parents of Jonathan Udall, a British tourist killed in a helicopter crash in the Grand Canyon in 2018. The family will receive $24.6 million from Papillon Airways Inc. and $75.4 million from Airbus Helicopters SAS. The settlement aims to raise awareness about aircraft fuel tanks prone to rupturing, as the fuel tank was deemed a fire bomb.
