CNN anchor Sara Sidner, 51, announced her stage 3 breast cancer diagnosis during an emotional segment on CNN News Central. She is in her second month of chemotherapy and will undergo radiation and a double mastectomy. She urged viewers to get their breasts checked every year and perform self-examinations. Sidner emphasized that Black women are 41% more likely to die from breast cancer than White women, urging all women to get their mammograms annually.
