An executive order has emerged in Maryland to ensure the use of artificial intelligence in state government is done in a controlled and ethical manner.
Maryland Governor Wes Moore has signed an executive order aimed at addressing the use of artificial intelligence in state government, as well as efforts to bolster cybersecurity. The order sets fundamental principles and values to ensure AI is integrated into state government in a responsible and ethical manner. It also establishes an AI subcabinet to develop and implement a comprehensive AI action plan.
