The Telangana government has come under fire from the British Racing Steering Society (BRS) for declining to host the second Formula E race.
BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao has criticized the Congress government in Telangana for refusing to host the second Formula E race in Hyderabad, describing it as a poor and regressive decision. The decision was made after the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department failed to fulfill the Host City Agreement signed on October 30, 2023. Rao praised the government's efforts to bring the event to India and highlighted the state's role in promoting sustainable mobility solutions. Formula E Operations (FEO) has also issued a notice for breach of contract.
