Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa arrived in Kyiv.

Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa arrived in Kyiv on January 7th. During her visit, she announced Japan's commitment to provide Ukraine with $37 million to establish a drone detection system and five generators to help the country survive the winter amid the ongoing Russian assault. The visit marked Kamikawa's first foreign trip in 2024 and came amid a surge in attacks on both sides of the conflict.
