Best-selling author and screenwriter Herman Raucher, known for his Oscar-nominated work on the coming-of-age drama "Summer of '42," has passed away at the age of 95.
Raucher died of natural causes at Stamford Hospital in Stamford, Connecticut, according to his daughter, Jenny Raucher.
Throughout his career, Raucher wrote screenplays for various films, including "Sweet November," "Can Heironymus Merkin Ever Forget Mercy Humppe and Find True Happiness?," and "Ode to Billy Joe."
