A hit-and-run accident on Chicago's Near West Side occurred at around 5:37 p.m., causing at least five people to be injured and one person to be arrested. The collision involved a CTA bus and a black Infiniti sedan that disregarded a traffic signal. The impact of the crash caused the bus to veer off the road, striking a fence and building. The individuals in the car fled the scene, but at least one was later apprehended and arrested by the police. Five people travelling on the bus sustained minor injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
